A plaque erected by Leicester City Council, which reads - The Conduit - This was a lead channel built in 1645 to take fresh water from St Margaret's Fields to the Retail Market. It ran from Conduit Street to the end of Victoria Parade. Photo taken 1994

Conduit Street.
No. 111 Upper Conduit Street next to the Co-op, in 1967. No.111 was home to the Densham family. The council inspected the property in the late 1950's and found it unfit for habitation. The Denshams were probably one of the first families in the area to be rehoused.
